Sound Preschool Theme
We did a lot of activity that would fit with the sound preschool theme. Here is just a few.
Words to learn :
hum, sound, vibrates, vibration

Sound box
- We put 3 - 4 rubber bands around a baking pan (or a shoe box) and made a music box
- I asked Don if he know why the rubber make a sound everytime I pluck it. He looked really carefully for a second, and said "It moved !!", with glee. He figured it out. He was so proud
- Then I went on explaining that every sound is made by something that vibrates. He then touches and knocks on everything so it makes a sound
Kazoo
- I made a hole on the side of a toilet paper tube
- Put a square of wax paper to cover one end of the tube and tied with rubber band
- Children made sounds or hummed thru the kazoo
